On the 10th, the Jeonju Cultural Foundation (CEO Choi Rak-gi) and the Jeonju Branch of the Korea Theater Association (Branch Manager Jung Sung-gu) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at 3 p.m. at the Korea Traditional Culture Center to enhance the professionalism in the field of theatrical arts education and activate local performing arts.

This agreement aims to strengthen the professionalism of local-based theatrical arts and establish a sustainable performing arts ecosystem where creation, education, and performances circulate. The two organizations plan to systematically enhance the competitiveness of Jeonju theater through the training of on-site-oriented theatrical arts education professionals and cooperative operation of citizen-participatory theater festivals.

According to the agreement, the two organizations will actively cooperate in jointly planning and implementing theatrical arts education support projects for children and youth, fostering talent in theatrical arts education, and activating citizen-participatory theater festivals and performing arts.

In particular, this agreement holds significant meaning as it goes beyond mere exchanges to strategic cooperation that simultaneously promotes the cultivation of local theatrical talent and the expansion of creative bases. The two organizations plan to establish specific implementation plans through practical working groups in the future and expand cooperation projects step by step.

Choi Rak-gi, CEO of the Jeonju Cultural Foundation, stated, "Theater is an important art genre that expands the imagination and community spirit of a city," adding, "Through this agreement, we will establish a substantial cooperation system that connects education and creation."

Jung Sung-gu, Branch Manager of the Korea Theater Association in Jeonju, said, "Based on the experiences and professionalism of the local theater scene, we will create a systematic arts education model," and added, "We will actively contribute to Jeonju's leap into a strong cultural city through the activation of the theatrical ecosystem in Jeonju."
