Jeonju Zoo welcomed a new family this spring. The protagonist is a marble fox found last month at Deokjin Sports Park, handed over by Jeonju City Animal Protection Center and made available to the public from the 17th.
As the marble fox is not listed as an endangered species under CITES, private adoption is possible, but considering concerns about illegal breeding and the difficulty of raising them, it was decided to protect them at Jeonju Zoo. After undergoing health checks and environmental adaptation processes, the zoo provided a home for the marble fox at the medium-sized carnivore facility.
The video of the marble fox, shared on Jeonju City's official Instagram account, has received over 240,000 views, attracting significant attention. Kim Jong-dae, the director of Jeonju Zoo, stated, "We will welcome the new family and take care of them with all our heart."
