North Jeolla Provincial Office of Education Announces First National High School Equivalency Exam Test Site for 2025

The Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education announced through its website (www.jbe.go.kr) on the 21st that the 'First Junior High School Graduation Examination for 2025' will be held on April 5th (Saturday).

Following last year, this year as well, the exam venues will be operated in 6 districts to allow test-takers to sit for the exam near their place of residence. The exam schools are Jeonju Onbit Middle School, Gunsan Middle School, Iksan Jiwon Middle School, Jeongeup Middle School, Namwon Haneul Middle School, and Jinan Girls' Middle School.

A total of 1,274 applicants, including 86 elementary school graduates, 244 junior high school graduates, and 944 high school graduates, applied for this exam. Online applicants can print their admission tickets from the NICE GED Service website (https://kged.go.kr).

Examinees must bring their ID, admission ticket, a computer-friendly sign pen (elementary school graduates should use a black or blue pen), and if necessary, prepare a lunch box and enter the exam room by 8:40 a.m. Possession and use of wireless communication devices will be considered as misconduct.

To pass, candidates must score an average of 60 or higher in all subjects. The announcement of successful candidates can be confirmed through the provincial education website on May 8th (Thursday) at 10 a.m.

Kim Nak-hoon, the head of the teacher personnel department, said, "We are operating district-specific exam venues for the convenience of test-takers," and urged, "Make sure to confirm your exam venue and take the test at the designated location."
