The Jeonbuk Office of Education announced on the 25th that it will establish a cooperative system between school libraries and student education cultural centers, and fully implement the 'Onbook Reading School Loan Service' from the 26th.
'Onbook Reading' is an extended reading activity that involves reading a book in its entirety and sharing thoughts. From this year, it will be expanded and operated throughout the province using the School Library System (DLS) and post office delivery.
As a result, it is now possible to borrow duplicate books on a class basis, and 748 schools in the province can use 328 book packages (a total of 9,166 books) held by six student education cultural centers without regional restrictions. Each school can borrow up to six types of books, about 180 books, for 60 days.
In cooperation with the Jeonbuk Regional Post Office, book delivery and collection will be carried out smoothly, and each cultural center will also operate a reading guidance program.
