The North Jeolla Province Office of Education announced on the 24th that it will conduct the '2025 First Half Integrated Industrial Safety and Health Inspection' until May 23rd to prevent industrial accidents and protect the health of frontline workers.

This inspection targets frontline workers such as food service workers and facility managers, and focuses on compliance with the Industrial Safety and Health Act, improvement of harmful and hazardous factors, fulfillment of safety and health obligations, and health management. Health consultations by health managers and consultations by industrial health professionals are also provided as needed.

This year, the inspection targets 180 institutions, including those with industrial accident occurrences and those that have not conducted inspections. The North Jeolla Province Office of Education plans to complete inspections of about 720 educational institutions in the province by 2028.

Jang Kyung-dan, the head of the School Safety Division, said, "We are focusing on support for creating a safe and healthy educational environment beyond simple inspections," and added, "We will create a school site without industrial accidents through continuous inspections and consulting."
