On the 24th, Jeonju City strengthened its environmental education capabilities by visiting the Jeonju area waste disposal facility with 'single-use product reduction citizen instructors'.
This visit was an opportunity for the citizen instructors to directly check the waste intake and processing process by visiting the Jeonju Waste Resource Center, Jeonju Recycling Town, and the Metropolitan Landfill, and to carry out filming for supplementing educational materials and updating statistics.
The city selected and trained nine citizens with environmental education experience to promote the reduction of single-use products and proper waste separation. Over the past two years, they have conducted education for about 14,400 people in 114 institutions.
Lee Young-seop, the head of the Resource Recycling Green Space Department, said, "We will continue our efforts to practice resource recycling, such as expanding high-quality environmental education, the 'Day without Disposable Products' campaign, and promoting the use of reusable containers."
