Namwon City announced that it will operate various educational programs in cooperation with 10 lifelong education institutions within the region to activate lifelong education in the area.

In February, the city selected two youth institutions, three welfare centers, four small libraries, and one other lifelong education institution through a public contest. These institutions plan to provide educational opportunities to local residents through a total of 14 programs.

The programs include career exploration, physical enhancement, forest experience, drone classes, and not only education for the marginalized and job competency enhancement, but also specialized education on the theme of Jirisan and local cultural heritage. The education will be operated until November, and applications are being accepted at each institution.

Yang Hyo-sang, the head of the Education and Sports Department, said, "We will continue to discover various lifelong education programs to strengthen the capabilities of local residents."
