The Jeonju Cultural Foundation (CEO Choi Rak-gi) is recruiting the second group of resident artists to carry out artistic creation activities at the Dongmun Creative Studio until the 9th of next month.

Eligibility for application is for artists who have resided in Jeonju City for more than a year and are capable of continuous artistic creation activities. The final selected artists will be provided with individual workspace of about 13 pyeong and exhibition support for one year. The announcement of the final successful candidates will be on April 18th, and for more details, refer to the Jeonju Cultural Foundation website (http://jjcf.or.kr) or contact the Culture and Living Team (063-287-2012).

The Dongmun Creative Studio (94 Dongmun-gil, Wansan-gu, Jeonju, 3rd and 4th floors of Samyang Coffee Shop), which opened its doors in 2023, consists of 9 creative spaces, 1 common space (rest area), and 1 makeshift refrigerator room, totaling 11 rooms.

The first group of resident artists successfully held more than 30 exhibitions on various topics, including an exhibition titled LIFE at the Jeonbuk Art Center last year, and received high praise.

The first group of resident artists at the Dongmun Creative Studio, whose residency period ends in April, expressed their desire to donate their works to the foundation, saying, "The atmosphere of the studio was good for work and exhibitions, and the sales performance of the works was also good."

CEO Choi Rak-gi of the Jeonju Cultural Foundation said, "I hope for a lot of interest and participation in this project, which is being promoted to continuously support the unique culture of the local old city and the creative activities of artists."
