'Jeonbuk Provincial Korean Music Institute's 'First Half Thursday Regular Performance' Opens on April 3rd'

The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province National Gugak Center will host the 2025 first half of the year a total of six times from April 3 to June 19 at the Korean Sound Culture Hall's Myeongin Hall.

The Thursday Regular Song·Dance·Music is a performance where the Changgeuk Company, Gwanhyeonak Company, and Dance Company present traditional and modern creative works through differentiated programs.

This performance has prepared a variety of high-quality programs so that everyone, including local residents, teenagers, and foreigners, can fully experience our music, sound, and dance.

On April 3, a rich Song·Dance·Music performance will be held in three parts, on the 10th, it will be organized as a special stage of the Education Museum, and on May 8, a joint performance of the Changgeuk Company and Gwanhyeonak Company will be prepared in commemoration of Parents' Day. Following this, on the 15th, the Gwanhyeonak Company will present the creative work "Chungju's Night", on the 29th, the Dance Company will present a variety of works that encompass both tradition and modernity, and finally, on June 19, the performance will conclude with the Changgeuk Company's "Sound War".

The first performance, under the theme of "The Beauty of Korea, Spring Again", will be opened by the Gwanhyeonak Company, Changgeuk Company, and Dance Company all together.

The first stage will be opened with 'The Arirang for 25-string Gayageum and Jodae' by Gayageum Kim Yoon-hee, Daegum Choi Shin, and Janggu Jo In-kyung of the Gwanhyeonak Company, followed by the Dance Company's 'Taepyeongmu'.

The third program will feature Lee Yeon-jung, the deputy leader of the Changgeuk Company, singing 'The Part Where Simcheong Opens Her Eyes' from Pansori 'Simcheongga', followed by Baek Eun-sun of the Gwanhyeonak Company presenting 'Choi Ok-san Style Gayageum Sanjo'.

The fifth stage will captivate the atmosphere with the male members of the Changgeuk Company singing 'Gwangdaega' on stage, and the Korean court dance 'Mugo' will be reenacted by members Lee Hyun-ju, Lee Yoon-seo, Park Ji-seung, and Kim So-hee while playing the drum.

The last performance will conclude with the female members of the Changgeuk Company singing 'Shinbaetnora·Sacheolga'.
