Wanju Library to Hold Events for 'Library Day' and 'Library Week' in April

The Wanju Library of Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education (Director Yook Gyeong-a) announced on the 28th that they will be hosting the event '2025 Library Day and Library Week' from April 1st to the 30th. This event, themed 'Planting Seeds of Dreams, Burying them in the Library,' will be aimed at preschoolers, students, parents, and local residents.
Key programs include a lecture by author Choi Won-hyeong ("When You Eat Ramen, the Forest Disappears"), puppet shows "Guri Guri Cheong Guri" and "Book Thief," making terrariums for "Lydia's Garden," an ecological book exhibition and experience, and the 'Book Morning!' morning reading challenge, totaling 9 programs.
Registration for participation will be available from 10 a.m. on April 1st at the Jeonbuk Education Office Library's website (https://lib.jbe.go.kr/wjplib).
Director Yook Gyeong-a stated, "Through diverse reading programs, we hope that local residents will experience the joy of reading and that reading becomes a part of their daily lives."
