The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Lifelong Education Scholarship Promotion Institute (Director Lee Hyun-woong) announced that they will be recruiting scholarship students for the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Indigenous Talent Scholarship in 2025 from April 15th to 21st.
The recruitment targets students with connections to Jeonbuk, selecting a total of 200 individuals. Among them, 50 students from 4-year universities in Seoul, and 150 students from 4-year universities and vocational colleges in regional areas will be chosen. They will be further categorized into 20 outstanding academic achievers, 40 from low-income households, and 140 general scholarship students.
Applicants must have their guardian's resident registration in Jeonbuk for at least 6 months as of the announcement date, or the applicant must have graduated from a high school in the province where the guardian's registration criteria are in Jeonbuk. Academic requirements include new students meeting the national college entrance exam or internal grades, and current students maintaining a GPA of B or higher (3.0/4.5).
Applications can be submitted online through the Jeonbuk Scholarship Promotion Institute website (www.jbiles.or.kr), and detailed information can be found in the notice posted on the website.
The final selection will be confirmed through the Scholarship Student Evaluation Committee, and the scholarship certificates and funds will be awarded in mid-June.
An official from the institute stated, "We will continue to carry out ongoing scholarship programs to enable local talents to focus on their studies," urging for a lot of interest and participation.
