The 4th Jeonju International Picture Book Fair, which will be held in Jeonju in May, will be enriched with original illustration exhibitions and various programs by famous picture book authors from both domestic and international backgrounds.
Jeonju City announced on the 27th that for this book fair, they have selected four representative picture book authors from Korea and Sweden, including Baek Hee-na, Sara Lundberg, Eva Lindström, and Kitty Crowder, for the original illustration exhibition.
The exhibition will take place from May 29 to June 29 at Palbok Art Factory and Wanju Library. The works of Baek Hee-na and Sara Lundberg will be displayed at Palbok Art Factory's Ipam Tree Hall, while the works of Eva Lindström and Kitty Crowder will be showcased at Wanju Library's exhibition room.
Baek Hee-na, known for "Cloud Bread," has gained worldwide attention, and has several representative works such as "Egg Candy." Sara Lundberg, the author of this year's Bologna Ragazzi Award-winning work "Only Me," has also received numerous literary awards including the August Prize. Eva Lindström and Kitty Crowder, who have also won international awards in children's literature, will be introduced to the domestic audience through this exhibition.
In addition to the illustration exhibition, the city has prepared conferences, lectures, workshops, and opportunities to meet the authors directly. Sara Lundberg is scheduled to have her first meeting with domestic readers at this book fair.
