Spreading Love, Happiness, and Sharing... The 1st Regular Meeting of the Foundation "Pouring" Held

The first regular general meeting of the nonprofit organization Budha (Chairman Ven. Jinseong) was held in a grand manner on March 28th at the Arirang House in Jeonju, with over 80 attendees. The meeting proceeded in two parts, with a commemorative ceremony in the first part and the regular general meeting in the second part.

Established in August 2023, Budha has been recognized for its history of service, having conducted a total of 103 volunteer activities, including medical missions and kindergarten water well support in Vietnam, bi-monthly noodle sharing, military base and correctional facility service, foreigner assistance, Jinan elderly birthday celebrations with red ginseng pepper paste making, temple prayer ceremonies, rice sharing, and more.

Among those present at the meeting were Chairman Ven. Jinseong and Executive Director Ven. Hyeonjin of Budha, Secretary General and Director of Gyeonggi Southern Buddhist Association Seonggak, Chief Monk of Ilgwang Temple Seungcheon, Chairman of Jeonbuk Yeongsan Preservation Society and Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 18 TaeBong Temple Yeongsan, Director of Finance at Jeonbuk Buddhist Association JiO, Director of Jeonbuk International Cooperation and Development Institute Kim Dae-sik, CEO of Welfare TV Jeonbuk Broadcasting Kim Tae-kwon, Director of Jeonju Aju Nursing Home Jang Won-wook, and Chairman of Jeonbuk Daebul Cheong Jang Seok-hee. Many Budha volunteers, including Kim Yo-seop, Director of Jinan County Volunteer Service Center, also participated.

An award ceremony was held to honor those who have contributed to the development of Budha volunteer group. Executive Director Ven. Hyeonjin and six others were awarded with plaques of merit, while 18 individuals, including Budha Director Lee Jae-hyun, received certificates of appreciation. Kim Tae-kwon, CEO of Welfare TV Jeonbuk Broadcasting, who received a plaque of merit, presented a valuable seal and a beautiful calligraphy set as a token of appreciation to Chairman Ven. Jinseong, garnering significant attention.

During this meeting, the operational performance and financial statements for 2024 were approved, and the business plan and budget for 2025 were also endorsed. Park Gyo-sang, Director of the Prison Volunteer Group, was elected as the new director to fill the vacant position.

Chairman Ven. Jinseong of Budha expressed his sincere gratitude to the members who have enthusiastically supported the organization despite challenging circumstances. He stated, "I am grateful to all our members who have supported us fervently despite the difficult circumstances. With today's regular general meeting as a turning point, we will strive to develop Budha into a more systematic and progressive organization."
