EBS will be holding a handwritten submission contest for the '2025 EBS Dream Scholar' targeting freshmen who enter university through regular and special admissions for the academic year 2025 starting from April 28th. Applications can be submitted through the EBSi website (ebsi.co.kr) until May 31st.

The 'EBS Dream Scholar' program selects and awards 10 students annually who have strived towards their academic and dream goals despite challenging circumstances, through public education and EBS high school lectures. This year, the total prize money for the handwritten submission contest is 33 million won. Winners will be announced in mid-July after going through three stages of evaluation, including external assessment.

The contest themes include cases of outstanding achievements through unique learning methods using EBS, learning experiences that serve as role models and inspire others, and stories of overcoming difficult environments such as economic, regional, and physical constraints to pursue dreams.

The 'EBS Dream Scholar' program, which started in 2011 under the name 'Diligent Scholar,' has produced a total of 275 scholarship recipients to date. It has shed light on students who have strived towards their dreams despite various constraints such as disabilities, regional limitations, low income, and illnesses, conveying messages of hope and encouragement in education.

Last year, a student with congenital cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities was awarded, with the top prize going to a student who, despite a challenging home environment, approached learning with a positive attitude and expressed a desire to give back the help they received to children. Additionally, 10 students who overcame various difficulties such as hearing impairments and lack of educational infrastructure were selected as Dream Scholars, attracting attention.

Detailed information regarding this contest can be found on the EBSi website.
