On the 2nd, Namwon City held an inauguration ceremony for the "17th Namwon City Youth Participation Committee" in the city hall meeting room and conducted a meeting with the youth.

The Youth Participation Committee is a youth self-governing body operated according to the "Namwon City Youth Participation Committee Ordinance," where youths aged 9 to 24 in the local area are recommended by school principals and relevant institutions for appointment. This year, a total of 21 members were selected, and they are expected to engage in various youth policy proposals, rights monitoring, and campaign activities.

The members expressed a strong determination to represent the voices of Namwon City's youth and lead positive changes through their activities.

Mayor Choi Kyung-sik stated, "Youth are our present and future," adding, "The active participation of the members will play a significant role in illuminating the future of Namwon."

The establishment of the 17th Youth Participation Committee is evaluated as an opportunity for local youth to step forward as the main participants in policy engagement and become a driving force for change.
