Gunsan Subsidiary Elementary School (Principal Kim Shin-cheol) won the largest number of participants award in the elementary and middle school section (5km) at the '2025 Gunsan Saeman-geum Marathon Competition' held at Gunsan Wolmyeong Comprehensive Sports Stadium on the 6th, with a total of 75 participants including students, parents, and faculty.

This event was the second marathon participation of the Gunsan Subsidiary Elementary School educational community, with participants competing in the Full, 10km, and 5km categories. A sixth-grade student expressed, "I am proud to have shortened my record by more than 6 minutes compared to last year."

Principal Kim Shin-cheol stated, "I hope this valuable time will help students learn perseverance and a sense of belonging and community spirit in the local community without giving up."
