On the 9th, the Jeonbuk Provincial Office of Education held an information session on the "2025 First Half Principal Recruitment Program" at the 2nd-floor auditorium of the Provincial Office of Education. This information session was organized to enhance understanding of the principal recruitment program and activate the system, with about 120 participants including school officials, faculty, and parents in attendance.
The principal recruitment program was introduced to appoint principals capable of responsible management reflecting the demands of school members and regional characteristics. Currently, the program is being implemented in 60 schools within the province.
During the information session, an overview of the principal recruitment program, application procedures, cases of external and internal recruitment, and other details were introduced. The target schools for the upcoming recruitment on September 1st include 40 elementary schools and 23 middle schools, with vacancies for principals being designated within two-thirds of the schools with principal vacancies.
Schools interested in participating in the principal recruitment process must gather opinions from members and go through deliberations by the School Operations Committee.
