Recently, Wanju County has been actively operating various educational programs for teenagers and local talents, gaining attention as a municipality that is 'sincere about education'. From reading and career exploration to academic support and professional educational field experiences, steps for the growth of the future generation are being taken.

The Wanju County Youth Center 'Gorae' recently held a 'Book & Career Talk Concert' to alleviate teenagers' career concerns and increase interest in reading and writing. Yoon Ye-won, the director of the Uiwang City Youth Training Center who transitioned from a former basketball player to a youth coach, was invited to the concert to deliver a talent donation lecture based on his experiences. Director Yoon also donated 20 copies of his book titled 'I Was an Athlete', presenting various possibilities for career exploration to the teenagers.

Furthermore, support for teenagers who have dropped out of school was not overlooked. The Wanju County Out-of-School Youth Support Center 'Dream' prepared lunch boxes and strawberry glutinous rice cakes for 20 out-of-school teenagers who took the high school equivalency exam at Jeonju Onbit Middle School. This gesture aimed to help the teenagers concentrate on the exam in good condition. The center plans to continue providing tailored services such as high school equivalency exam mentoring and support in the future.

Collaboration with local universities is also active. Over 120 students from Jeonju Vision University's Department of Intellectual Civil Engineering visited Wanju County to experience various field tasks in the intellectual field, such as intellectual surveying, land movement organization, and intellectual re-surveying. Wanju County actively supports students' career planning and enhancement of specialized knowledge through practical field experiences, expanding exchanges for fostering local talents.

Seo Geum-ran, the head of Wanju County's Education Policy Division, stated, "We will continue to support various career and reading programs for teenagers to explore and grow their future through books." Lee Ae-hee, the head of the Open Petition Department, expressed, "It is meaningful to be able to share the region's specialized skills and information with future talents," promising continuous cooperation.

Such efforts by Wanju County hold significant meaning in terms of investing in the future of the region through education. Supporting the growth of each teenager sincerely, Wanju County is firmly establishing itself as an 'education city' today.
