In celebration of the 45th Disability Day, Buan Comprehensive Welfare Center held a cultural event titled 'Spring Spring Spring' on the 17th at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium on the 2nd floor of the welfare center.
Under the warm theme of "Hoping for Happiness, Capturing Everyday Life, Connecting Hope," this event was organized as a cultural sharing platform with the local community.
The event kicked off with a screening of the movie 'Eyes Eyes Eyes' (directed by Nam Hyo-kyung and Choi Yu-jae), which tells the story of a child born with only one eye. This was followed by a heartfelt performance by the band 'Moonhee and Kids,' composed of local residents, filling the stage with emotions. Additionally, the event showcased various art activities currently being carried out at the welfare center.
The artwork from Jeon Ji-sook's disability art class and Park Sun-jin's 'Making My Own Book' project provided a touching moment for the audience, showcasing the creativity and freedom of expression of people with disabilities. The event concluded with a passionate performance by the youth band 'Shout,' receiving a round of applause.
An official from Buan Comprehensive Welfare Center stated, "Through this cultural event, we were able to create warm memories of spring where people with and without disabilities come together," and added, "We will continue to make efforts to spread an inclusive culture where everyone can participate."
