26th Jeonju International Film Festival selects actors Kang Gil-woo and Kim Bo-ra as hosts for the closing ceremony

The 26th Jeonju International Film Festival (co-executive directors Min Sung-wook and Jung Joon-ho) announced Kang Gil-woo and Kim Bo-ra as the emcees for the closing ceremony scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on May 9.

The 26th Jeonju International Film Festival will come to a grand close on May 9 at 6:30 p.m. after a rich 10-day festival at the Samsung Cultural Center at Jeonbuk University. This year's closing film is "In the Country of Machines" directed by Kim Ok-young, and the emcees for the closing ceremony are Kang Gil-woo and Kim Bo-ra.

Actor Kang Gil-woo has hosted the closing ceremonies of the 23rd and 24th Jeonju International Film Festivals and has a long-standing relationship with the festival, having also starred in the "Jeonju Project" film "Far Away" (2020). Recently, he has been active across various genres and eras in films such as "Frankenstein's Father" (2025), "Jeon, Ran" (2024), "Logiwan" (2024), and dramas like "My Perfect Secretary" (2025), "Goblin" (2023), "The Glory" (2022), and "Chaebol Family's Youngest Son" (2022), showcasing a wide acting spectrum and memorable characters that have earned him the love of the public.

Actress Kim Bo-ra, who co-hosted the closing ceremony, has shown her unique colors through a diverse range of works that transcend independent and commercial films. She was selected as the 'Value Spring (Barrier-Free) Ambassador' for the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival and is expected to continue her activities at the 26th Value Spring Film Festival. Known for leaving a strong impression on the audience through the drama "SKY Castle" (2018), Kim Bo-ra has also showcased deep acting in dramas like "Magpie" (2025), "Death to Snow White - Black Out" (2024), "Flowers Bloom Even in the Sand" (2023), and films such as "Ghost at Oksoo Station" (2023), "The Odd Family: Zombie on Sale" (2021), and "Goodbye Summer" (2019), actively engaging on the screen.
