Jeonju Cultural Foundation and the Department of Dance at Jeonbuk University have joined hands to revitalize the local cultural and arts ecosystem.

On the 22nd, Jeonju Cultural Foundation (CEO Choi Rak-gi) and the Department of Dance at Jeonbuk University (Department Head Lee Na-hyun) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the revitalization of the local cultural and arts ecosystem at the seminar room on the 4th floor of the Korean Traditional Culture Center.

The signing ceremony was attended by Choi Rak-gi, CEO of Jeonju Cultural Foundation, Lee Na-hyun, Department Head of the Department of Dance at Jeonbuk University, and officials from both organizations. They promised to cooperate in expanding the base of regional arts education and realizing cultural welfare.

Through this agreement, the two organizations agreed to cooperate on supporting dance arts education for children and youth, jointly planning and implementing projects for nurturing artistic talent, and collaborating on education for different stages of life and realizing cultural welfare for residents.

In particular, Jeonju Cultural Foundation and the Department of Dance at Jeonbuk University have been building a close cooperative relationship by jointly operating the national competitive project 'Dream Dance Troupe Operation Project' for the past three years. In this process, Jeonju Cultural Foundation provided administrative and educational spaces, while the Department of Dance at Jeonbuk University was responsible for planning the curriculum and supporting educational staff.

Following this agreement, the two organizations plan to actively establish an advisory committee for the stable settlement of the children's and youth ballet group 'Jeonju Freaks!' within the region and expand the civil-government-academic cooperation model.

Choi Rak-gi, CEO of Jeonju Cultural Foundation, expressed his hope that this agreement, driven through arts education projects, will enhance the region's cultural capabilities and activate the cultural and arts ecosystem. He stated, "We will not only promote a close collaboration with our long-time partner, Jeonbuk University, but also continuously explore new collaborative projects."
