Muju County announced on the 22nd that it is actively promoting the 'Farm Mate' program to cultivate agricultural experts specializing in specific products.

Farm Mate is a program where agricultural officials and farmers work together in teams to engage in activities. It will be conducted through theoretical learning and field practice until December. This year, a total of 23 participants are involved in five teams focusing on apples, grapes, watermelons, strawberries, and tomatoes.

Participants plan to focus on increasing income and improving the results of rural development projects through resolving crop-specific issues and exchanging technical knowledge.

Shin Sang-beom, the head of the Muju County Agricultural Technology Center, expressed optimism, saying, "Through a curriculum centered on practical experience, we can share the capabilities of officials and enhance trust with farmers."

The participating farmers expressed their willingness to actively participate, stating, "Being able to learn practical skills and experiences together is very helpful."

This year, Muju County is concentrating on cultivating professional agricultural experts and plans to expand field systems, enhance the expertise of officials, and operate agricultural counseling centers, focusing on 'on-site guidance.'
