National Gugak Center Recruits Students for "Gugak Meditation" Opening the Morning

The National Gugak Center (Director Kim Joong-hyun) is recruiting students for the first half of the healing program <2025 Rest for Me, Gugak Meditation>, which combines traditional Korean music and meditation.
The program will run from the 21st of the month until June 11th, every Wednesday morning from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., over a total of 4 sessions at the National Gugak Center's 2nd floor 'Heungbu Maru,' a wooden indoor space inspired by the story of Heungbu.
is a program that combines the emotional resonance of Korean traditional music with various meditation techniques in the serenity of the morning, designed to provide a time of rest and recovery for modern individuals living busy lives. The warm melodies of traditional instruments such as gayageum, haegeum, and daegeum envelop the space, seamlessly leading into experiences that awaken the senses, such as aroma therapy, tea meditation, and Taegeuk meditation.
This program, consisting of a total of 4 sessions, includes ▲1st session (May 21st) waking up with gugak and aroma lymphatic massage ▲2nd session (May 28th) body flow - body scan and Korean dance gesture flow ▲3rd session (June 4th) the art of resonance in stillness, mindfully tea meditation and Taegeuk meditation ▲4th session (June 11th) moon jar meditation and sound bath.
The program is open to adult individuals, with a maximum of 20 participants per session on a first-come, first-served basis. The tuition is free for all sessions, and applications can be made from 10 a.m. on the 12th to 6 p.m. on the 16th at the National Gugak Center's online portal (namwon.gugak.go.kr). On-site registration is also possible if the capacity is not filled.
