On the 9th, North Jeolla Province held a meeting at the provincial government's comprehensive situation room titled 'Meeting between Local Governments to Revitalize Livelihood Economy and Support Businesses,' where they discussed recovery of the livelihood economy and response strategies to export crises with 14 local governments.
The meeting was attended by Kim In-tae, Director of Business Attraction Support, and the Economic Department's officials, as well as economic managers from the local governments, who shared information on the progress of livelihood economy projects, response to US trade policies, and areas requiring cooperation from the local governments.
The province urged for swift execution of livelihood economy projects and requested that public utility fees be frozen in principle, with adjustments to the extent and timing of inevitable increases to minimize the burden on residents.
Furthermore, they emphasized support for export companies and cooperation in information promotion by sharing activities of the US trade policy response team. They also discussed plans to expand on-site visits to export companies and provide close support.
Other topics included settlement of local subsidies, identification of demand for startups and venture companies, and collaboration on achieving joint evaluation indicators.
Director Kim stated, "It is an urgent time to seek economic recovery and export routes that residents can feel," and expressed, "We will accelerate crisis response and economic revitalization in collaboration with the 14 local governments."
