The Jeonbuk Student Council and Jeonnam Student Council had a time of mutual exchange during the '2nd Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Youth Expo' held in Gunsan on the 15th and 16th.
The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education (Superintendent Seo Geoseok) announced that they held an event for legislative activities exchange between student councils of both regions under the theme 'Leading Change by Students, Connecting Jeonbuk and Jeonnam'. A total of 45 participants, including 17 Jeonbuk student council members, 16 Jeonnam student council members, and supervising teachers, took part in this event.
Participants engaged in various activities such as attending the opening ceremony, experiencing booths, career concerts, youth art festivals, Gunsan history and ecological cultural experiences, fostering friendships. At the 'Legislative Activity Sharing Session,' they shared examples of activities from each region and discussed cooperation methods to enhance student autonomy.
Jeonnam Student Council Chairman Park Geonwoo (Hwasun High School) expressed, "It was a meaningful time where we could share common concerns." Jeonbuk Student Council Chairman Kim Suho (Seorim High School) shared his impression, saying, "It was a valuable opportunity for growth through each other's activities."
Kim Jiyu, Head of the Democratic Citizen Education Division at the Provincial Office of Education, said, "I hope this exchange will serve as a foundation for the growth of students in both regions."
