The Gunsan City Library announced that it will be operating a program called 'Coding with Stories for 2025' targeting elementary school students in grades 4 to 6 from June 16th to 19th.
In this program, children will read the theme-based books "Muyeong Disappeared" and "If Not Meat, Then What Should We Eat?" and participate in coding activities related to the themes. The lectures will be conducted under the guidance of coding experts, focusing on practical activities such as setting up virtual spaces, utilizing artificial intelligence platforms to help develop logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity.
The program will recruit 10 participants, and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Gunsan City Library's website or by phone starting from 10 a.m. on June 5th.
A library official stated, "We hope that this program, which combines books and coding, will increase children's interest in reading and help them develop the digital skills needed for the future society."
