The special exhibition "Masters of 20th Century Art: Henri Matisse and Raoul Dufy," which sheds light on the art world of the masters of 20th-century art, Henri Matisse and Raoul Dufy, has garnered a great response by attracting over 10,000 visitors in just a month since its opening.
The Jeonju Cultural Foundation (CEO Choi Rak-gi) announced on the 22nd that the ongoing exhibition at the Palbok Art Factory in Jeonju, which started on April 22 and runs until July 27, had surpassed 10,000 cumulative visitors as of May 21.
The exhibition has been attracting an average of about 330 visitors per day since its opening, with families visiting on weekends and art majors and group visitors during weekdays. It is noteworthy that a diverse range of visitors, from elementary school students to seniors, are visiting the exhibition, indicating the potential for popularizing art exhibitions.
This exhibition, the first paid planned exhibition at the Palbok Art Factory, features a total of 169 works, including Henri Matisse's "Jazz" series prints and art books, as well as Raoul Dufy's paintings, prints, illustrations, and watercolors. It is being praised for vividly conveying the aesthetic value and spirit of the times of 20th-century graphic art through the color experiments and aesthetics of the two masters.
The Palbok Art Factory is designed to offer visitors a deeper and richer artistic experience beyond simple exhibition viewing. In particular, a cultural goods corner set up on one side of the exhibition hall is operating a 'Epop Friends' cultural donation campaign for Jeonju cultural artists, providing a special experience that combines artwork viewing with donation activities.
