The 'AI-based Education Mediator Training Course' organized by the Wanju County Education Integrated Support Center (Director Lim Sung-hee) started its first session at the Wanju County Education Integrated Support Center on the 20th, marking the official commencement of the program. This education, targeting local residents, parents, and existing education mediators, will run for a total of four sessions until the 29th.
The goal of this program is to cultivate practical skills based on AI technology among local education stakeholders, enabling them to grow into education mediators connecting specialized high schools and the local community. Particularly, through hands-on activities such as experiencing AI programs, scenario and essay writing, utilizing ChatGPT, and creating presentation content, participants are structured to gain experiences that can be immediately applied in the field.
On the first day of training, along with orientation (OT), time was allocated to introduce AI programs (PPT, videos, ChatGPT), allowing participants to learn about various AI tools and programs. Subsequent education focuses on subgroup activities, where participants share ideas and collaborate to enhance their practical skills.
One participant (in their 30s, a parent) stated, "Through practical experience of AI technology that felt vague, I gained confidence that it can be sufficiently integrated into daily life."
The Wanju County Education Integrated Support Center plans to elevate the digital capabilities of local residents through this training program and further disseminate a cross-curricular education model co-created by schools and the local community.
