The 8th Jeonju Family Film Festival will be held for three days starting on Thursday, the 29th, at 7 p.m. at Jeonju Joy Cinema with a congratulatory performance by tenor Kim Hyo-sung.

The festival, organized by the Cultural Content Research Institute Cine Forest and hosted by the Jeonju Family Film Festival Organizing Committee, has chosen "Dad's Shoulders" as this year's slogan. A common theme among the submitted works was the significant presence of fathers.

The opening films include "Square Biscuit" by director Lee Jin-woo, depicting longing for a father, and "My Pocket Diary" by director Lee Sung-jun. Additionally, "Mother's Voice" directed by Jo Yu-shin, portraying longing for a mother, will also be screened.

Following this, from the 30th onwards, films directed by filmmakers from Jeollabuk-do will be featured in the Family (Jeollabuk-do) Section, and Kim So-hyung's collection of silent short films will be screened, engaging with the audience.

On June 1st, works created by teenagers from Jeollabuk-do will be shown in the Nuclear Family (Teen) Section. In this section, parents can watch films made by their children together and participate in Family Dialogue (FV). The Family Section will feature films by domestic and Jeollabuk-do directors, connecting to an awards ceremony.
