Jeonbuk Hyundai U15 Wins National Youth Sports Competition with 4 Consecutive Victories and 10 Goals

Jeonbuk Hyundai has once again proven the successful operation of the club's philosophy and system for youth development.

Jeonbuk Hyundai U15 youth team, affiliated with Dongdae Busok Geumsan Middle School (Principal Lim Wan-jin), confidently clinched the championship at the 54th National Youth Sports Competition, establishing themselves as the strongest middle school soccer team in Korea.

Jeonbuk Hyundai U15 defeated defending champions Suwon Samsung U15 2-1 in the final held at the Gyeongnam Gimhae Civic Sports Park on the 27th.

In this tournament, Jeonbuk Hyundai U15 left an impressive record of 4 consecutive wins and a total of 10 goals, reaffirming their status as a "youth powerhouse."

In the early stages of the final, Jeonbuk Hyundai U15 conceded an early goal in the 13th minute, starting a tough game. However, they equalized with Oh Tae-jun's goal in the 29th minute of the second half. Just before the end of the game, Lim Ji-sung finished off Park Ji-seol's precise cross with a header, completing a dramatic comeback victory.

Jeonbuk Hyundai U15 made a fresh start by defeating Incheon U15 2-1 in the round of 16 on the 24th with goals from Lim Ji-sung and Choi Jun-hyuk. In the quarterfinals, they secured a 3-1 victory over Mokdong Middle School with goals from Lim Ji-sung, Baek Min-geon, and Choi Jun-hyuk.

In the semifinals, they defeated Jeju U15 3-1 with goals from Lim Ji-sung, Oh Tae-jun, and Choi Jun-hyuk, securing a spot in the final.

Lim Ji-sung, who scored in all 4 matches in this tournament, was awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, claiming both the team's victory and personal honor.

Jeonbuk Hyundai U15 head coach Shin Yong-joo stated, "I am proud of the players who did their best until the end despite a tough schedule," and added, "This victory is the result of the players, coaching staff, and former coaches working together. We will continue to nurture good players based on the club's youth development philosophy."
