Gunsan University Selected for Humanities City Support Project in 2025

National Gunsan University has been selected for the 2025 Humanities City Support Project organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Research Foundation.
According to Gunsan University on the 9th, with this project selection, the Humanities City Center at Gunsan University will operate under the slogan 'Gunsan, a Humanities City of Care and Mutual Assistance,' receiving a total of 465 million won in funding, including 420 million won from the national government and 45 million won from Gunsan City, until June 2028.
The Humanities City Support Project is a collaborative effort between universities and local communities to discover human assets and promote the popularization of humanities. This year, five local governments and universities nationwide have been selected.
The Gunsan University Humanities City Center plans to conduct a total of 120 humanities lectures, 45 humanities experiences, and 25 humanities weekly events under the theme of 'Looking Back, Caring Together, Presenting, and Revisiting.'
Oh Won-hwan, the director of the Humanities City Center, stated, "Through Gunsan's unique life-oriented humanities programs, we will implement a culture of care together with the citizens."
