Local Innovation Narrative Filled with Policy Proposals and Practices Over 13 Years
The Future Convergence College of Wooseok University (President Park No-jun) has published "Speaking of the Future of Youth and Regions," which encapsulates the achievements of a 13-year regional innovation project. This book, which summarizes practical cases where university students and adult learners have identified regional issues and proposed policies, is being evaluated as a 'regional innovation narrative' that goes beyond a simple collection of cases to include the actual process of policy change.
The book is divided into three parts: ▲ the process of youth's regional awareness and practices ▲ 17 policy proposals centered around the Jeonbuk region ▲ international expansion potential and ongoing projects. Some policies have actually been implemented, with a transition to long-term policy experiments also anticipated.
Wooseok University plans to embark on long-term policy experiments through the announcement of the "Wanju Local Food 2.0 Future Strategy" at a presentation in November, and is also engaged in international cooperation, such as with Changchun Normal University in China on projects like the "Duman River Tracking Tourism Product."
Hwang Tae-gyu, the Dean of the Future Convergence College, stated, "This model that connects youth and regions is already in the stage of international dissemination, and we will continue to expand it as a sustainable innovative educational model."
