On the 13th, Jeonbuk National University (President Yang O-bong) held a meeting and seminar with postdoctoral researchers from the Research Institute of Materials and Energy Science (RIMES) to enhance research capabilities in basic science and promote academic exchanges.
This event was organized as part of the Ministry of Education's 250 billion won project, the University Basic Research Institute (G-LAMP), aimed at solidifying the foundation of RIMES as a leading research institute in the field of materials and energy through collaboration among researchers and sharing of the latest achievements.
During the seminar, various interdisciplinary research topics were presented, such as Dr. Kang Dong-wook's research on "Energy conversion based on low-dimensional materials," Dr. Kang Wook-joong's research on "Multiphysics energy materials," Dr. Aurora's analysis of "Biochemical reaction mechanisms," and Dr. Wi Ji-eun's "Solar energy prediction based on satellite imagery." Additionally, research outcomes in various fields such as graph theory, metagenomics, and 3D cell culture were shared.
The event was jointly organized by the G-LAMP project team (headed by Professor Kim Hee-sun) and the research institute (directed by Professor Noh Hee-seok), with Director Kim stating, "We will spare no effort in supporting young researchers to grow as the core of the local science and technology ecosystem."
Jeonbuk National University was selected for the G-LAMP project last year and is currently establishing a cutting-edge basic research foundation in the field of materials and energy science. This seminar is being recognized as a practical platform for collaboration among researchers.
