The number of participating stores in Jeonju's 'Book Love Points' program, called 'Bookkung20,' has increased to 54. On the 20th, Jeonju City announced that it signed agreements with three new participating stores (△Sunday's Bed, △White Wind Wall Bookstore, △From Two) at the Jeonju City Library Flower Heart.

'Bookkung20' is a program that provides points for citizens to receive a 20% discount on the purchase of books, aimed at promoting reading culture and revitalizing local bookstores through Jeonju's unique book purchase support program.

When borrowing or returning books at the Jeonju City Library, 50 points are accumulated per book, which can be used when purchasing books. So far, approximately 33,500 people have joined 'Bookkung20,' purchasing a total of around 478,600 books and receiving a discount benefit of approximately 1.618 billion won.

Choi Hyeon-chang, the head of the Jeonju City Library, stated, "‘Bookkung20’ not only benefits citizens but also contributes to the stable management of local bookstores," adding, "We will continue to expand it continuously to create a healthy reading ecosystem."
