Deokgwa-myeon Administrative Welfare Center (Head of Myeon, Seong Wol-gye) announced on the 23rd that 14 students from the 1st and 2nd grades of Deokgwa Elementary School visited the center to participate in experiential activities to learn about the role of public institutions.
On that day, Myeon Head Seong Wol-gye explained various tasks carried out at the Myeon Administrative Welfare Center, such as birth registration, road maintenance, and welfare support, tailored to the children's understanding, and communicated with the students through a question and answer session.
One student who participated in the experience created a warm atmosphere by saying, "I didn't know that so much work was done at the administrative office," and expressing, "I also want to become a public servant working for the citizens."
Head Seong mentioned, "I hope this visit will be an opportunity to nurture the dreams of the children," and stated, "I will continue to communicate with the residents to create a better living environment in Deokgwa-myeon."
Meanwhile, Jeollabuk-do Office of Education newly designated Deokgwa Elementary School as a rural study abroad operating school for the second semester of the 2025 school year on May 30. Based on the experience of operating a Future School and an IB candidate school last year, Deokgwa Elementary School is expected to see an increase in student transfer demand with this designation.
