A special event is being prepared to shed light on Jeonju's food culture and local identity by sharing stories of food from a drama and connecting with citizens.

The Jeonju Cultural Heritage Foundation (CEO Choi Rak-gi) announced that a lecture and experience program called 'Your Taste, Jeonju's Taste' will be held on July 4th and 11th at the Korean Traditional Culture Center in connection with Netflix drama content.

This event, which is planned to offer citizens a unique cultural experience where food humanities meet popular content, is centered around the Netflix drama 'D.P.', which was filmed in Jeonju and prominently features Jeonju cuisine.

The program consists of two sessions, with a lecture by the drama's food director and a cooking experience of the drama's featured foods.

The first program, 'Taste Seen with Your Eyes,' will take place on July 4th at 7 p.m. in the education room of the Korean Traditional Culture Center. The food director of the drama 'D.P.' and the representative of the food space design group 'Kkum' will attend to share how Jeonju cuisine is portrayed in the drama and the background and behind-the-scenes stories of the food content planning and filming.

The second program, 'Your Cooking Taste,' will be held on July 11th at 7 p.m. in the cooking experience room of the Korean Traditional Culture Center. Participants will have the opportunity to watch a cooking demonstration of the featured foods from the drama and try making them themselves.

This program is free of charge and open to all Jeonju citizens interested in food and humanities.

Choi Rak-gi, CEO of the Jeonju Cultural Heritage Foundation, expressed hope that this program will be an opportunity for citizens to share the unique food and stories of Jeonju and raise cultural pride as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.

For registration and more information, inquiries can be made to the Jeonju Food Story website (jeonjufoodstory.or.kr) or the Traditional Culture Team of the Jeonju Cultural Heritage Foundation (063-281-1582).
