The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province School Operation Committee (Chairman Yoon Mi-yeon, hereinafter referred to as Jeonbuk School Operation Committee) conducted a policy training session in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province from the 11th to the 13th.
This training aimed to enhance the expertise of school operation committees and expand educational exchanges between regions, with around 20 members including chairpersons and executives from various regional committees in Jeonbuk participating.
Key events included meetings with the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Education Office, signing of a business agreement with the Jeju School Operation Committee, and visits to educational institutions. At the meeting with the Jeju Education Office on the first day of the training, Kim Kwang-soo, the Superintendent of Education in Jeju, attended and shared regional educational issues and policy directions.
Subsequently, the two committees signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and agreed to cooperate in organizing joint training and exchange events, mutual visits to educational sites, expanding networks, and more.
On the second day of the policy training, they visited the Haebom Wee Center in Jeju to examine the operation of emotional and psychological support education. The Haebom Wee Center is an inpatient alternative education institution for students in crisis, providing counseling and healing programs.
Chairman Yoon Mi-yeon stated, "This policy training session served as an opportunity to broaden the foundation of educational cooperation through solidarity between regions," adding, "Jeonbuk School Operation Committee will fulfill its role as a communication and action-oriented committee."
