Jeonju City announced on the 15th that from the 22nd to August 9th, a 'Summer Vacation Reading Special Lecture' will be operated at 11 municipal libraries to allow children to have a fun and educational time during the summer vacation.

This special lecture program includes 15 activities combining books and play for about 170 children. Major programs include making ceramic plates (Gwansim Library), creating music picture books (Wansan Library), making summer tiramisu (Samcheon Library), making shell mood lights (Pyeonghwa Library), and making water balls (Jjokgureum Library), offering various experiential activities at each library.

Moreover, from August 4th to 7th, 'Summer Reading Classroom' for elementary school students in grades 4 to 6 will be held at Geumam and Samcheon Libraries. Four outstanding participants will be awarded the National Children's and Youth Book Director's Award and the Jeonju Mayor's Award.
