On the 15th of last month, Iseo Nonghyup in Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do (led by Chairman Song Young-wook), conducted a '1:1 Financial Education' for 1st grade class 4 students at Wanju Samwoo Middle School (Principal Im Deok-rae).
This education focused on delivering practical financial knowledge that is beneficial in daily life, ranging from basic economic and financial knowledge to credit management and rational consumption habits, in an easy and fun way. The students actively participated in quizzes and Q&A sessions, showing a high level of interest.
Chairman Song Young-wook stated, "Through engaging financial education, we aim to contribute to shaping the correct economic perspectives of rural youth," and added, "We will continue to provide on-site financial education in the future."
Meanwhile, '1:1 Financial Education' is a nationwide financial education program organized by the Financial Supervisory Service, where financial companies and schools form partnerships to provide tailored financial education to children and adolescents. The education is conducted in face-to-face or non-face-to-face formats using standard textbooks or self-produced teaching materials, and applications can be made through the Financial Supervisory Service's Financial Education Center website.
This program is operated with the aim of helping to establish healthy financial habits early on, and is currently being actively implemented in numerous schools nationwide.
