Disabled welfare institution, Haenam Disabled Daycare Center users have resumed their 'Non-drying Water Sharing' activity, which is organized and operated directly by the users, without fail this year.

This water sharing activity, which started on the 23rd at the Jeonjuhosung Nonghyup intersection in Deokjin-gu, Jeonju City, is now in its third year.

Weekdays from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., disabled activity participants and volunteers are distributing around 100 bottles of water daily for free to street vendors and residents exhausted from the heat.

This year, with the addition of 2,000 bottles of water donated by the Korea Railroad Corporation's Honam Branch (Director Kim Yuseok), the activity has gained more strength. Director Kim Yuseok expressed his hope that it would provide some comfort to elderly street vendors and local residents suffering during the heatwave, stating plans to continue various sharing activities that can coexist with the local community.

Choi Sung-won, the representative of Haenam Disabled Daycare Center, described the water sharing as a valuable act that relieves thirst, momentarily forgets the heat, and allows direct participation of disabled individuals in local issues, helping them understand the joy of sharing. He also mentioned the positive impact of improving awareness about disabled individuals in the local community.

This water sharing activity is scheduled to continue until the end of August.
