Wanju County conducted a '2025 Local Food Plan Academy Local Food Agricultural Education' for around 30 consumers at the Yongjin Local Food Direct Store on the 23rd and 24th.

This education program consisted of expert lectures on climate crisis response and cooking experiences for practicing low-carbon diets. Participants experienced the significance of local food by making salads and sandwiches with ingredients that reduce carbon emissions.

Choi Ok-hyun, head of agricultural policy, stated, "Consuming local food is a sustainable solution that reduces carbon footprint and revitalizes the local economy," adding, "The county will continue to expand consumer education and lead the transition in food consumption."

Wanju County is actively promoting various agricultural education programs utilizing local food in accordance with the Local Food Plan, taking the lead in establishing a food circulation system.
