Gunsan University Disability Student Support Center - Gunsan Disability Welfare Center, Sign MOU for Cooperation in Disability Welfare

The National University of Gunsan's Disability Student Support Center announced that on the 29th, they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Gunsan Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled to promote the rights of disabled students and create a local welfare environment.

This agreement was established to jointly promote the improvement of welfare for disabled students, enhance awareness of disabilities, expand participation in the local community, and strengthen cooperation between the two institutions to achieve integrated welfare.

At the signing ceremony, university officials such as Oh Yeon-pung, the head of student affairs, Choi Yong-seok, the vice head, and the director of the Disability Student Support Center, along with welfare center officials including Lee Myung-jae, the director, and Lee Sang-jun, the manager, attended to share implementation plans and discuss cooperation methods.

Both institutions plan to collaborate on activities such as exchange and support of welfare infrastructure for disabled students, linking volunteer activities for university students, and jointly operating programs to improve awareness of disabilities.

Oh Yeon-pung, the head of student affairs at Gunsan University, stated, "Through cooperation with the welfare center, we will strive to broaden opportunities for cultural, educational, and occupational participation for disabled individuals and work towards achieving integrated welfare in the local community."

Meanwhile, the Gunsan Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled operates various services such as lifelong education, cultural arts, vocational rehabilitation, counseling, and takes the lead in realizing a welfare community that engages with the local society through specialized programs like the Developmentally Disabled Art Troupe and 'Dream and Cafe.'
