Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC (hereinafter Jeonbuk Hyundai) has established a 'High Performance Testing Lab' in the club house.

The 'Testing Lab' is a space where sports science is realized by measuring and analyzing the essential physical elements required for soccer players, including strength, nerves, joints, and blood, through advanced equipment.

Jeonbuk Hyundai plans to maximize the performance of players and achieve a comprehensive goal of reducing injury rates by implementing customized training and recovery programs based on the data measured in the 'Testing Lab.'

Jeonbuk Hyundai stated that through this project, they will establish a data-based system and support system, taking the lead in the development of the K League and Korean football as a leading club.

In the 'Strength/Endurance Zone,' which is the most critical part of the measurement field conducted in the 'Testing Lab,' the isokinetic strength measuring device is used to measure the strength of various joints such as the knee and ankle.

Moreover, testing is conducted with separate advanced equipment for the strength and function of the hamstrings and hip joints to assist in making optimal decisions regarding the player's recovery timing and participation in matches.

In the body composition and blood index testing section, the management of players' body fat and blood testing are carried out to prevent injuries by checking physiological functions, fatigue, recovery, and metabolic status.

The data measured in the 'Testing Lab' is entered into the Jeonbuk Hyundai database by data scientists, visualized, shared with the medical team and coaching staff, and profiled in each section to prepare for the best performance on the field.

Jeonbuk Hyundai views the 'Testing Lab' not just as a simple testing space but as a strategic space to analyze the team's performance trends from a long-term perspective, considering the accumulated data as a significant asset for the team.

In particular, there are plans to transfer the 'Testing Lab' system to the youth team in the future, establish a data linkage and network between the youth and professional teams, and build a player management system unique to Jeonbuk Hyundai that allows for continuous development.
