During the summer vacation season, Namwon City is conducting thorough inspections on illegal facilities and unauthorized occupation within rivers and valleys from July to September.

This inspection focuses on major valleys near Jirisan, concentrating on violations of the River Act such as setting up temporary structures, unauthorized constructions, and makeshift shelters within river zones. The city plans to promptly correct or induce voluntary removal of illegal facilities on-site, and if not complied with, impose fines or take administrative actions such as reporting to authorities.

Mayor Choi Kyung-sik stated, "We hope for the cooperation of citizens to restore the public and natural aspects of the rivers, ensuring safe use for citizens and tourists."
