The Taekwondo Demonstration Team of Jeonju Vision University (President Woo Byung-hoon) won second place in the demonstration performance category at the 18th World Taekwondo Culture Expo held at the Muju Taekwondo Center in Jeonbuk from July 27.

The team presented a creative performance reinterpreting the benevolent spirit of King Sejong and the creation process of Hangul under the theme of 'Hunminjeongeum' using the dynamism and artistry of Taekwondo. The stage, which combined striking techniques, high-level aerial skills, and military movements, received positive responses from the judges and the audience, portraying a meaningful scene that promotes the excellence of Hangul and national identity to the world.

Professor Kim Soon-jung, head of the Taekwondo Physical Education Department and the team's coach, stated, "The students put their passion into this challenging attempt, and their sincerity led to a good outcome," adding, "We will continue to creatively promote Korean history and culture through Taekwondo in the future."
