The National Gugak Center (Director Kim Jung-hyun) will hold a traditional music concert called "Dadam (Tea Talk)" where tea and stories come together at Yeumheon on the 27th at 7 p.m. The guest for the August edition is Ven. Dobeop, who will share sincere stories about life, practice, and community under the theme "Who am I? How should I live?"

Ven. Dobeop is a philosopher and practitioner who has walked the path of life and peace, and community practice through movements like Pure Buddhism Movement, Return to Farm School, and Life Peace Pilgrimage. In this edition of "Dadam," he will share philosophical reflections on the essence of life with a meditative perspective on oneself and the world.

In the segment "Enjoying Our Music," the National Gugak Center's Gugak Orchestra, led by Park Won-bae, will perform the impressive daegeum solo piece "Cheongseongok," featuring a clear and serene melody. This piece is an instrumental adaptation of a traditional vocal song, evoking a static and contemplative atmosphere through the daegeum's unique tone and long breaths.

"Dadam" is a representative performance that combines intellectuals, traditional music, and a cup of tea, receiving much love from the audience with profound humanities stories and dignified traditional music performances in each edition. Ven. Dobeop's story of questioning the true self is expected to resonate deeply with all of us living in this uncertain era.

The performance will accommodate 50 seats and will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis for free. Reservations are being accepted starting from 10 a.m. on the 13th through the National Gugak Center's website (namwon.gugak.go.kr), KakaoTalk channel (add as a friend: National Gugak Center), or by phone (063-620-2329).
