Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC (hereinafter Jeonbuk Hyundai) is gearing up to secure a ticket to the Korea Cup final.

On the evening of the 20th, Jeonbuk Hyundai will face Gangwon FC in the first leg of the semi-finals of the '2025 Hana Bank Korea Cup' at Jeonju World Cup Stadium (hereinafter Jeonju Castle).

Having advanced to the semi-finals by defeating Ansan Greeners in the 3rd round, Daejeon Hana Citizen (round of 16), and FC Seoul (quarter-finals) this season, Jeonbuk Hyundai is now set to clash with Gangwon FC.

Having defeated Gangwon FC 2-0 in the K League 1 on the 23rd of last month, Jeonbuk Hyundai will now face them again in the Korea Cup after a month.

Following a 3-0 victory over Daegu FC at Jeonju Castle on the 16th, Jeonbuk Hyundai, who have achieved a 22-game unbeaten streak in the league, are determined to continue their winning momentum in the Korea Cup semi-finals and secure a spot in the final.

While there were concerns about the team's stamina and focus due to conceding goals after scoring first recently, Jeonbuk Hyundai's clean victory over Daegu has washed away those worries and further boosted their upward trend.

Unlike the single-match final, the semi-finals consist of home and away games in the 1st and 2nd legs, so a high-scoring victory in the 1st leg will pave the way for reaching the final.

Jeonbuk Hyundai, who have won 7 official matches in a row, dominate Gangwon FC in attack, as Gangwon FC has struggled with goal drought in the last 2 games despite Jeonbuk Hyundai's scoring rate of 2 or more goals per game in the last 7 matches.

Fans who are captivated by this attacking style of football are showing great enthusiasm for ticket reservations despite it being a midweek game.

As of the morning of the 18th, more than 6,000 tickets have been reserved, and it is expected that over 10,000 fans will flock to Jeonju Castle on Wednesday night.

This match will be the last home game of the Korea Cup this season.

The final is scheduled to be held at Seoul World Cup Stadium on December 6th according to the tournament regulations, making this game the final Korea Cup match to be played at Jeonju Castle.
