Jeongeup City is operating the 'Outreach Korean Language Education' 2nd semester program to support the improvement of Korean language skills and settlement of foreign workers.

The education will be held every Sunday from August 24 to December 14 at the multipurpose room of Jeongeup City Hall Annex, focusing on basic Korean language learning for 25 foreign workers residing in Jeongeup. The city plans to help foreign workers adapt to life and work and create a long-term stay environment through this program.

Mayor Lee Hak-soo said, "Building on the achievements of the 1st semester, we hope that more foreign workers will benefit practically" and added, "We will continue to support the settlement and stable living of foreign residents in the future."

Meanwhile, Jeongeup City has designated the Family Center as the '1 City, 1 Foreigner Support Center' and is operating various programs such as cultural experiences and health management. They are also implementing tailored policies such as visa upgrade support funds, friendly soccer tournaments, and public dormitory operations.
