Muju County has entered the process of selecting a 'School Meals Local Food Processed Product Supplier' to promote healthy eating habits among students and increase income for local farming households.

This project aims to supply processed products made from agricultural and livestock products produced within the province as the main ingredients for school meals. Any processing company or farm located in Muju County that can provide information on the production of raw materials and their safety can apply.

Applications can be submitted until September 12th by visiting the Agricultural Technology Center's Rural Vitality and Food Plan Team in person or via email. The selection process involves document review and on-site evaluations to determine the final suppliers.

Kim In-jin, head of the Rural Vitality Department at the Muju County Agricultural Technology Center, stated, "The goal is to establish a supply chain of processed food products for school meals that students can eat with peace of mind," adding, "This will not only enhance the added value of local agricultural products but also contribute to the revitalization of the local economy."
