Jeongeup City recently announced on the 5th that they have completed the *'Creating a Vibrant Activity Space for Youth Training Centers Project'* to support the autonomous activities and healthy growth of teenagers.
This project aimed to improve the poor environment of the Youth Training Center's after-school academy by investing 50 million won from the Hometown Love Fund. The project included tasks such as renovating aging facilities, creating rest and study spaces, and replacing furniture and equipment.
The newly created space is planned to be utilized diversely as a place for teenagers' education and autonomous learning, club activities, cultural and artistic experiences, relaxation, and social interaction. A key feature is that the project actively incorporated teenagers' opinions to enhance autonomy and convenience.
A city official stated, "We are pleased that teenagers can now actively engage in activities in a pleasant space," and added, "We will continue to strive for continuous facility improvements and program operations to ensure that teenagers can safely nurture their dreams."
Furthermore, this project was carried out using the Hometown Love Fund created through the Love for the Local Community program, and this fund is being utilized in various fields such as child and youth welfare, support for the elderly, and activation of cultural and sports activities.
